Built by someone who spent six years reading fleet average reports and knowing they weren't good enough
Leah O'Dwyer founded ExoFleets in 2025 after a career in telematics analytics and fleet operations consultancy.

Before ExoFleets, I spent nearly a decade working in the gap between telematics data and fleet cost decisions. First as a telematics analyst at a UK-based fleet intelligence platform, then as a consultant advising mid-size logistics operators on cost reduction.
The same problem kept appearing. Fleet managers had telematics systems. They had fuel card data. They had DVLA MOT records. What they didn't have was a single view that tied all of that to the individual vehicle — not to the driver, not to the depot, not to the route. Just the chassis.
Without that anchor, every cost discussion defaulted to fleet averages. Average pence per mile. Average fuel spend per month. Average R&M cost per year. And averages hide the things that actually matter: the three vans that are costing twice what the rest of the fleet costs. The vehicles with chronic brake cycles. The residual curves that suggest disposal now, not in six months.
ExoFleets is the tool I wanted to have. We built it in 2025 and started onboarding UK van fleet operators who were fed up with the same problem.
Three people, one very specific problem
Leah O'Dwyer
CEO & Co-Founder
Telematics analyst and fleet cost consultant for nearly a decade before founding ExoFleets. Spent those years watching UK fleet operators run on averages that hid their real cost problems. Built ExoFleets to fix that.
Marcus Webb
Head of Engineering
Spent four years building data ingestion and normalisation pipelines for a UK fleet intelligence platform before joining ExoFleets. Leads the telematics processing engine — the part that anchors every CAN event and fuel transaction to the correct VRM.
Caitlin Broome
Customer Success
Came from three years as fleet operations coordinator at a field services company running 160 vans. Knows what fleet managers actually need from software — and what gets ignored. Handles onboarding, demo walkthroughs and day-to-day support.
What drives the decisions we make
Precision over polish
We care more about whether the p/mile figure is accurate than whether the dashboard has rounded corners. Fleet managers are sceptical of software that looks good but can't explain its numbers.
UK-first, not US-adapted
DVLA MOT data, Operator Licence R&M obligations, Webfleet prevalence, UK fuel card transaction formats — we are not adapting a US enterprise fleet platform for the UK market. ExoFleets was built for UK road transport operators from day one. Samsara and Geotab are for raw telematics. We are not them.
Honest about what we are
We're a bootstrapped three-person team in London. We don't claim enterprise certifications we haven't earned. We say what we can and can't do. If your telematics source isn't supported yet, we'll tell you.
