Data sources

Works with your existing telematics

No hardware changes. No new tracking devices. ExoFleets ingests from the telematics systems your fleet already uses.

Supported telematics sources

Webfleet by TomTom

API · CSV export

Scheduled daily API sync or manual CSV upload. Provides position, ignition events, odometer readings and driver ID — the richest standard input for ExoFleets' per-VRM cost model. The most widely deployed telematics platform in UK mid-sized commercial van fleets.

Samsara

CSV export

Fleet report CSV export from the Samsara dashboard. Covers vehicle fault codes, harsh-event flags (hard braking, rapid acceleration, cornering), and fuel sensor readings where fitted. Samsara's harsh-event data maps directly to ExoFleets' telematics abuse flag categories.

Geotab / MyGeotab

CSV · MyGeotab report export

MyGeotab report exports for trip data, engine diagnostics and fault codes. Geotab's exception-rule event data — speeding, harsh braking, idling threshold breaches — feeds directly into ExoFleets' abuse flag model. Standard export from the MyGeotab reporting tab, no specialist access required.

Generic NMEA / OBD upload

CSV upload

Manual CSV upload for fleets running a proprietary or in-house telematics platform not yet on this list. Minimum required columns: VRM, date, odometer reading, event type. We provide the full data format specification on signup, and can map most custom formats within a working day.

Data handling

How we handle your telematics data

Fleet telematics data contains operational and potentially personal information. We treat it accordingly.

UK server storage

All telematics data stored on AWS eu-west-2 (London). Data does not leave UK jurisdiction without your knowledge and consent.

Driver-anonymised processing

Driver IDs are pseudonymised at ingestion. Cost analysis proceeds by VRM — individual drivers cannot be identified from the per-VRM cost output.

ICO-registered data controller

ExoFleets is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller. Processing is carried out under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f).

Not on this list?

If your fleet runs a proprietary or less common telematics platform, get in touch. We are not a raw telematics provider — we are an analytics overlay, and we can work from most structured vehicle data exports. Tell us your system and we will tell you whether we can ingest it.
